As we work to ensure a safe and healthy return to service in accordance with the latest guidance from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), Royal Caribbean has made the decision to further suspend cruise operations through April 30, 2021, as well as Quantum of the Seas departures between April 5 – October 14, 2021. Exceptions to this include all Quantum of the Seas’ Singapore cruises, as well as Spectrum of the Seas China sailings after March 30, 2021.

Through our healthy return to service program, we are not only reinforcing current standards, but setting new ones at every turn. This new program will focus on four key aspects of the cruise experience — upgraded screening prior to boarding, enhanced processes onboard, focused approach on the destinations we visit, and heightened procedures for managing any reports of exceptions.

For those currently confirmed on canceled sailings and not previously opting to take advantage of our Cruise with Confidence policy, a few options have been prepared for your consideration:

Modified Lift & Shift: Your client can opt to move their existing booking, protecting their original cruise fare and promotion, to a sailing next year on the same itinerary type [aka “product”], sailing length, and stateroom category, but within 1-week before or 1 week after the date of their original cruise. NOTE: Guests impacted by the cancellation of Quantum’s April 25, 2021 Transpacific sailing can shift to the same sailing in 2022 – Quantum of the Seas April 11, 2022. (Note: Quantum’s April 5 & April 15, 2021 sailings are ineligible to Lift & Shift)

Future Cruise Credit: Your impacted clients will receive a Future Cruise Credit for 125% of the cruise fare paid to be redeemed/booked by April 30, 2022 on a Royal Caribbean International sailing departing on or before September 30, 2022. Sailing Suspension FCCs will be issued to your clients automatically, by default, unless and until your clients request a refund or opt to “Lift & Shift” the booking.

Refund: If a refund is preferred, we’re happy to process this request for your client. Should your client wish to decline the higher value 125% Future Cruise Credit and receive a lower value 100% refund of their cruise fare, please complete the “Request a Refund” form on under “Brand Programs & News/Cruise with Confidence”. Refund requests were available through December 31, 2020 for all suspended sailings departing May 12, 2020 through December 31, 2020 (including Odyssey sailings through April 17, 2021) and by March 31, 2021 for suspended sailings departing on or after January 1, 2021. If your client requests a refund, the FCC will be deactivated in our system.

In order to give your clients additional time to sail with us, we’ve made an adjustment to our Future Cruise Credit deadlines. For FCCs generated as a result of our sailing suspension, Cruise with Confidence program, or Non-Refundable Deposit policy (those issued after March 13, 2020), guests will now have until April 30, 2022 to redeem FCCs on sailings departing on or before September 30, 2022.

We appreciate all you do and understand the trying times that the travel industry is facing, so it has never been a question of protecting your commission earnings, regardless of the compensation option selected. Partners stick together — you can count on us today and for years to come!

Together, we will rise to the challenges this crisis presents and will come out stronger on the other side.
